Obtaining Insurance Coverage In order to obtain workers compensation insurance with the FWCJUA, Employers are required to utilize the professional services of a Florida licensed resident or non-resident insurance agent associated with a Florida registered or licensed agency that has been authorized to submit applications to the FWCJUA. The FWCJUA has authorized Agencies with Designated Producers, which have met Florida's licensing and registration requirements, located throughout the state of Florida as well as in other states who can assist Employers in securing and maintaining coverage with the FWCJUA. Employers do not incur any costs associated with utilizing the services of an FWCJUA authorized Agency's Designated Producer to secure and maintain coverage with the FWCJUA. Please follow this link Agency/Producer Locator to locate an FWCJUA authorized Agency and Designated Producer in your area.
FWCJUA Underwriting Before a workers compensation insurance policy can be issued, the FWCJUA underwriters must first evaluate your business operation to determine the exposure, or “risk” to be insured. The information provided by the Employer is analyzed by the FWCJUA underwriters who possess the expertise and experience to accurately identify exposures, appropriately classify risks, review prior loss experiences, calculate premiums and determine terms of the policy. At the FWCJUA our underwriting staff strives to ensure appropriate pricing for the coverage provided.
